ONE OLD LADY

 ANOTHER MONDAY . . .

Seems like forever, but I'm back. It's been busy here on Eden Pond. We've had some excitement, or at least quite a diversion. Lobo's wife, Wyn, returned. This isn't your everyday return from the grocery store, or vacation. Wyn has been gone 23 years and showed up on his doorstep saying, "I'm home." To say the least, Lobo was in shock for a few days. He's still not sure what to do about her being back. And, I guess I'm not either. Lobo and I have had this wonderful relationship for many years, and we've grown very close. I liked Wyn, but when she left, all of us thought we'd never see her again. We even wondered if she was still alive. Where has she been? She's telling a little bit at a time, but it's all still a big question mark. I'm thinking she's been in Florida with the man she ran off with, now he's gone, and she's come home to Lobo. She isn't well, says she only has months to live - cancer. Knowing Lobo as I do, he'll not send her packing as he professed he would years ago - he's put her up in the spare bedroom and is continuing his life as best he can. He was here yesterday afternoon and says Wyn would like to see me. I have been thinking it over and know that I should go . . . there's more to this story than I'm telling now, and maybe after I talk to Wyn I can tell you more. I will say, life is full of surprises . . .

 TRIPPING THROUGH THURSDAY . . .

A ray of sunshine brightened my day, and it got me writing again. I go in streaks and it seems lately has been a non-writing streak. It's been so hot and a busy time around Eden Pond, and once again the cabin is quiet and the dogs and I are getting back into our old habits. Maybe I'll be better at writing, but summertime is a slower time for me with spending time on the computer - there is so much to do outside in the yard, family coming around, etc. I'm sure its hot wherever you are, too. Thank goodness for the cool nights and early mornings - this is why I like to get up early and have my coffee with the sun just rising. I've missed you all. See you soon. Just Eve.

 WHAT'S UP ON WEDNESDAY . . .

I'm up, but not moving so fast today. The wind is blowing, but other than that it's a beautiful day, so why am I not getting with it today? I talked to my sister on the phone, everything is fine with Mom for now. I wrote two letters, paid bills, had three cups of coffee so far today, ate a half sandwich and salad for lunch, and have been doing some stitching on a quilt I've been working on. This afternoon I plan to sit around and enjoy my cabin, maybe do a bit more quilting - in any case,no outside work in this blustery weather. Wishing you all the best . . .

 IN TOUCH ON TUESDAY . . .

Seems I'm having a problem getting a post done - Just hope that this one makes it and there isn't a mix-up and you get more than one. Am fine, just a busy weekend, then Tug to the vet today, and back to the rock wall I'm building - am glad the rocks are no bigger! Must take advantage of this cooler weather. A few more hours out there, then a light dinner (salad) and to bed by 9:00 so I can be up and out kayaking in the morning mist by 5:30 - that's the best time! Take care . . .

 FRIDAY FUN . . .

The clouds are holding the rain in, but we have had some sprinkle effect - am hoping to get enough to water the gardens. It's been a day around the place. I talked to Lobo and it sounds like he'll come over and we'll go kayaking again tomorrow - if the weather isn't too bad. My granddaughter is coming out Sunday afternoon so I will get to see the twin granddaughters, Sara and Savanna, now four-years-old. She'll give me the pitch to move into town again, but I'm not up to hearing it, too wonderful here - and I am still able to do it - one day I won't be, then it's time - not now. Tug and Bo agree with me, as do the other 'livestock'. I'd better get busy and bake some bread tonight so I can give Lobo his due. It's a busy life and I love it. Just another note from Just Eve at Eden's Pond; hoping you're having as much fun this Friday as I am!
